What you need to join the course

UCAS score of 240 points or more, normally from subjects passed at A2 level. A science subject (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, etc) is desirable. We will also accept AS points from subjects additional to those studied to A2 level in order for candidates to meet the tariff for entry. Required UCAS points are occasionally subject to change. You should also have achieved GCSE passes at Grade C or above in English and Mathematics.

Alternative entry routes are available if you have other qualifications, including a Diploma, AVCE, GNVQ, overseas qualifications and prior experience; although entry is subject to approval by the programme managers and admissions staff.

Career prospects

We have an unsurpassed employment record. In fact, our students have been entering responsible positions in the equine industry for more than a decade. There now exists a network of employers who recognise the superior quality of the RAC education.

Career opportunities include management positions within developing agricultural and equine enterprises specialising in marketing, production and finance. Science-orientated graduates will gain the skills and knowledge to drive technological innovation within industries underpinning equine sports, education, welfare, and bloodstock.
