MSc Property Agency and Management
Real estate in the UK is a diverse and complicated market, with many organisations and businesses having a variety of interests requiring careful strategic management. This MSc has been developed to produce highly employable graduates with a thorough knowledge of the way in which the market functions.
Focusing on the strategic management of UK real estate, with an emphasis on case-study-based learning, provides graduates of this course with the ability to quickly analyse the systems and institutions that underpin this market. The Royal Agricultural College is a 'partnership institution' with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which fully accredits this one-year Masters degree.

You will spend three terms based on campus in Cirencester in full-time study. You will also be required to submit a Research Dissertation, normally three months after the completion of the final case study.

What is the learning style?
The case studies engage you in an interactive workshop format in which College staff, visiting practitioners and site visits provide insights and guidance to enable you to gain knowledge and understanding through investigation, reading and active practical learning.
The course is full-time and runs for 12 months. Normally it will commence in October and the completed dissertation will be submitted at the end of the following September.
Assessment
Assessment of each case study will be based on a written report and an oral examination which will not only be based on your submitted case study reports, but will also test that learning outcomes have been achieved. There are no formal, unseen written examinations.
Who is the Course for?
Graduates with a qualification equivalent to a UK Honours degree at upper second class or above, and preferably with some relevant real estate practice experience. Accredited by RICS, this MSc provides a route to full professional status for those aspiring to a career in real estate and is therefore relevant to all students who seek a qualification with a view to future practice in the UK.
Entry Requirements
- The normal minimum entry requirement will be a BSc Honours degree at upper second level.
- Mature candidates with significant relevant work experience and lower academic qualifications may also be considered for entry, following personal interview with the Course Manager.
- If your first language is not English, we will accept the International English Language Test (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.5 average with no element below 5.5.
- If you have other qualifications, including overseas awards and alternative English language qualifications, you are advised to contact Admissions to discuss the suitability of your award for entry onto the course.
